I served as Co-Creative Director for the 2022 League of Legends World Championship, a role that began with the initial pitch and extended through the foundational design phase. My focus was on conceptualizing the broadcast and event package as a single, cohesive ecosystem, ensuring the visual identity felt unified across every touchpoint of the tournament.

Concept

Tendril developed a comprehensive visual identity, motion branding system, and toolkit for the 2022 League of Legends World Championship. The primary challenge was engineering a design system capable of scaling across every stage of the global competition. The result was a flexible framework that accommodated a vast array of team colors, logos, and assets, ensuring the aesthetic remained distinct, cohesive, and instantly recognizable as the signature look for Worlds 2022.

The Package

Once we established the core design and branding language for Riot Worlds, the next phase was about integration.
We focused on seamlessly merging that visual identity with our custom 3D assets, ensuring the branding felt embedded within the environment.
