Working with the in-house team at Tendril, we collaborated with Microsoft to create a reveal film highlighting the craftsmanship behind their icons. The project draws parallels between the design engineering of Surface devices and the icons themselves.
Since this followed the Office 365 rebrand, it was vital to maintain a consistent visual language. My role involved Direction, as well as designing and lighting several of the shots.

Concept
The film opens with a sweeping timelapse across an evolving landscape, serving as a nod to Microsoft’s heritage while transitioning into the future. From there, the story moves into a modern architectural space where the new icons are introduced. Through a variety of visual techniques, we showcase the intricate details and craftsmanship of each design, bridging the gap between the brand's history and its new era.
